WHAT’S HAPPENING IN FRANCE

France is more
than a headline.

WHIF connects the big stories with the cultural moments and everyday discoveries that make France worth following.

Our editorial standards

We write in English for curious readers, wherever they live. Articles are AI-assisted syntheses of identified reporting and reference material. We develop our own structure and explanations, credit sources and distinguish reported facts from our interpretation. We do not present ourselves as eyewitnesses or invent interviews.

Sources with a purpose

Our target is three to four relevant sources per article, including primary material where available. An official programme, a news report and a background reference play different roles: multiple links are not automatically independent corroboration. Source lists explain these roles. Short legacy briefs may have fewer sources until expanded.

Dates matter

We label guides and event information, keep allegations separate from verdicts and distinguish proposals from adopted measures. An archive photograph is not evidence of a current event. Publication dates refer to WHIF’s articles; linked reports may be older.

Updates and corrections

Substantive corrections are recorded on the article concerned. We retain stable article addresses and preserve the archive. A daily publishing schedule does not justify publishing an unverified story.

Advertising

Advertising is labelled and separated from editorial content. Advertising partners do not influence WHIF’s reporting, sources or conclusions.
